DescriptionAn ideal ground cover for a wet spot in the yard or for a rocky margin at the edge of the pond. Frog Fruit tolerates some foot traffic and may even be mowed. It has small lance-shaped leaves that are toothed and an even green color. In fall, foliage turns a beautiful crimson. Starting in early summer and lasting through fall, the plant is covered with tiny white flowers that resemble verbena. Plants overwinter well in northern climates without special care. This is another plant that lends itself to many applications. Use in container or tabletop ponds, it will spill over the edge or tuck itself between more upright stems of other marginals. In a bog it is an excellent ground cover. Helps control soil erosion around docks and boat landings.
