Description Dwarf Horsetail Equisetum scorpoides Native to North America and evergreen in most areas. It has diminutive, needle-like foliage that serves as a good cover in a bog garden or near the edge of the pond. Hollow stems are furrowed and green with black bands that give a bamboo-like appearance. Male plants bear a brownish pollen cone at the tip, while female plants bear spikelet-like growths on their tips.

*Lighting: Sun to part shade
*Growing Conditions: Needs moist soil, tolerates seasonal flooding, but will
not grow in any depth of water
